Covid Update
It has been a challenging time for all, but one thing that we can be thankful for is that we were able to keep our doors open due to the hard work and dedication of our wonderful team, who have followed each health guideline precisely in order to ensure that we were able to provide our patients with the care they need and deserve.
We would like to take a moment to announce our current updated guidelines and procedures for COVID-19, both for our team as well as for our patients. At this time, we are implementing the following:
For Team Members
- All employees must take their own temperature before coming to work.
- Watches, rings, and other jewelry of the like are to be removed and left at home.
- PPE (gloves, masks, eye-protection) is to be worn at all times (and when appropriate for respective duties)
- Hand sanitation stations are placed all throughout the office for regular use throughout the day.
- Headsets are to be cleaned after each use
- Employees are asked to shower as soon as they arrive home with soap and water prior to touching anything at home or engaging with loved ones.
For Patients
- We ensure that our schedule is lightly booked all day to ensure that there is no chance for crowding in the office.
- Upon arrival, we ask that patients make use of a hand washing or hand sanitizing station.
- A touchless infra-red thermometer will be used to monitor temperatures. If a fever of 100.4 degrees F or higher is present, the patient will be asked to reschedule.
- Patients will be asked if they have experienced any signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection, or if there is a possibility of contact with possible COVID-19 patients.
- A team member will escort patients to their examination room as soon as possible to avoid heavy traffic in the waiting room. The examination room door will be closed.
- If patients must wait in the waiting room, we will ask that social distancing of 6 feet is kept.
- Once you have been seated in your operatory, you will be given hydrogen peroxide-based mouthwash and asked to rinse for two minutes to ensure that any additional bacteria is killed.
During Your Treatment
Our clinical team will follow the following guidelines:
- PPE will be worn at all times while interacting with patients (masks, gloves, cap, eye protection, gowns, and face shields)
- If our team is to work with a confirmed COVID-19 patient, they are to wear N95 masks, which are then covered with an additional surgical mask. Both masks, as well as the rest of the PPE, are discarded after use in this case.
- Team members that are not part of the clinical team working with a patient will not enter an operatory during a procedure.
- Operatories are completely and thoroughly disinfected between each patient using hospital-grade disinfectant agents.
At the end of your visit, we will:
- Accept contactless payment methods whenever possible (Apple pay, contactless credit cards, payment over the phone)
- Financial reviews can be discussed via phone and sent to your home in the mail
- Patients are encouraged to make use of a hand washing or hand sanitizing station prior to leaving the office.
